As we know that in the end of monsoon there come Ganesh Chaturthi everyone is waiting for this festival to arrive. This festival brings joy to childrens as well as elders.

Ganesh chaturthi has its back story. One day lord Shiva got mad at Ganesha and beheaded him, after knowing the truth lord Shiva promised Mother Parvati (Lord Shiva's wife) to bring him in life and order his servant to bring a head of baby who is sleeping beside his mother. So, the servants found a elephant calf sleeping beside his mother and brought his head. With boons or every god Lord Ganesha revives from that day Ganesha Chaturthi is celebrated. Lord Ganesha is a god of wisdom and intelligence.

I brought lord Ganesha at my home with wrapped towel on him. The prayer starts at 12 o clock before 12 we have to situate him in makhar ( throne) then locals come for prayers with singing devotional chants following this to every house which has Ganesha.

We cooked veg in those days. Tasty modak were kept beside Ganesha idol as a prasad. Lord Ganesha loves modak it's his favourite item. Besides there has variety of veg food for lunch like khat-khate, panch-bhaji ( five types of leafy vegetables were cooked) , Nevryo, hog plum curry, pooris, papad, pickle, patolis, godshe, etc.
At the last day immersion of idol take place small children cries out elder of family carrying the idol go near immersion place like lake, river, sea, etc where water is available in large quantity. All Villager by there by chanting 'Ganapati putr parvaticha, jato gange paanyala' and singing devotional hymns.
